mancanze

The human psyche is divided into 3 parts: ego, id and superego.

The superego is the judging part, that dictates what is right and what is wrong;

the id is the emotional part, the one of the drives, our inner chaos;

the ego represents how we show ourselves in front of the world

and it's the mediator between the other two parties.

Mancanze is an attempt to fill a void,

an inner journey in search of a part of me that I feel missing.

An inner journey told through the outside world, a world where man was there,

but has gone from a long time, leaving only traces of him.

A journey not only in space, but also in time, retracing my past through moments of my childhood, looking for the origin with the aim of reaching the destination.

Lastly, Mancanze is also a discharge, an irrepressible need to exteriorize, to tell by pictures what I would never be able to say by words.

The project is also accompanied by a short poem written in italian.
